We have started using the new nursery manual, 'Behold Your Little Ones', as the basis for our family night. I condense the lessons for McKay and will gradually do more of the activities as he is able to do them. He loves looking at all the pictures and will fold his arms when he sees children folding their arms in the pictures. He loves to point to Jesus. We often skip ahead and look at all the pictures in the book. :) It is a wonderful book!

Family Home Evening
McKay loves it when we have family home evening. Maybe it is because he has the completely undivided attention of BOTH parents. Maybe it is the songs we sing. Maybe (hopefully) it is the Spirit he feels. Maybe it is because he knows we love him so much. Maybe it is everything!

Is that a picture of McKay? He looks so grown up! (sorry...moms don't like to hear that their babies are growing up). I think if I just saw that picture in a random group of photos I wouldn't have recognized him! How sad is that?! Can't wait to see him and you guys again.
What a cute little man!
That picture reminds me so much of when Skyler and Zac were little. We had the funnest family home evenings, because they were just so enthused to be there. So sweet.
I too love the new nursery manual. We use it for FHE as well. Sometimes I even pull it out for Scripture Study. Another thing Jackson likes for FHE is when we put in our Conference DVD's and sing along with the Tabernacle Choir. Lashelle
That's so cool that you're using the nursery manual for FHE. We just started using it when the new one came out too. Ari LOVES it and Tapa does such a good job on the lessons. Ari loves doing a toddler-friendly family activity afterward too--her favorite game is the "balloon" one, where we hold hands in a circle, standing close together. We start blowing as we back away from each other, still holding hands. As we back up, Ari is lifted up in the air. Then we say "Pop!" and let go of each other's hands, gently dropping Ari. She LOVES it! We learned it from some friends at their FHE and thought I'd pass it on.
