Dear Family and Friends, What a wonderful year 2007 has been! So much has happened. The most life changing event was definitely the birth of our beautiful son McKay Jordan Moser.
McKay was born July 17, 2007. The first two weeks of his life were a bit rough. He had a bad case of jaundice so he spent the first few days after we brought him home under the billilights. Then, when he was 13 days old we noticed a large, soft lump on his head. The next day we went to the Doctor and he immediately ordered an MRI to find out what it was. We were relieved to find out it was a hematoma that would gradually go away. We were blessed that McKay slept through the whole thing! His life got a lot better from then on. McKay is a very content, good natured baby. He is full of smiles and is working on perfecting his laugh. He loves rice cereal, reading books and playing on the floor with his toys. He is a joy to have in our family.
Maria had the busiest tax season yet this year, working up to 75 hours some weeks. We were glad it worked out to be during her second trimester so she was able to do it. Just before McKay was born in July, Maria finished her licensing requirements to be a certified public accountant, after passing the exam in 2006. It has been a long process so it is nice to finally be done with it. We have been very blessed that Maria has been able to work a flexible schedule at home and in the office while Jordan is home with McKay in the morning. Maria enjoys serving as secretary in the Relief Society presidency for our ward. She loves being a mom.
Jordan has also had a very busy year. He stopped working to be able to take 18 credits each semester, including during the spring and summer terms (yes, when McKay was born). Fall semester he got a job as a teachers assistant for a mechanical class. He was also chosen to be on BYU’s mechanical competition team and will compete at the national competition held in Reno this coming February. Jordan will graduate in April 2008 with his degree in Construction Management and is currently interviewing for jobs. Jordan serves as the eleven year old scout leader in our ward. He is looking forward to a lighter winter semester and to spending some quality one-on-one time with McKay during tax season.
In January we were able to go on a seven day Western Caribbean Cruise with Jordan’s parents, seven brothers and sisters, and their spouses. It was a memorable experience and we often wish we could go back to the white sandy beaches and crystal clear water for just a day or two!
We appreciate the support and friendship we have felt this year from our family and friends. We love you and hope you have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Love,
Jordan, Maria, & McKay Moser

Great Letter! It was great to see what you're year has been like. And to hear what's coming up. Sounds exciting! It will be fun to see where Jordan ends up working.
It's me again, You're it Maria! I tagged you. Go to my blog to see the rules.
Great blog (and it's all so grammatically correct)! Now that I'm clued in, I'll check back often.
McKay's outfit is so cute! So Jordan's competition is in Reno? Dad told me it was in Phoenix. I hope everything goes well.
Melinda - Do you recognize his outfit? It is the one you guys gave him! It finally mostly fits him. Jordan thought the competition was in Phoenix but he found out it is actually in Reno.
I was wondering if that was the outfit, but it has been a while since I've seen it.
Good letter.
